In Bethany’s POV
I was sitting on the floor, playing with my new doll, Lealani, or Lea, as she liked to be called.
Just then, I heard Mami call, “Girls! Family meeting in Raven’s room!!!”
“Ok!” I shouted back. “Can Lea come too?”
“Ok, sure!” Mami yelled back. I scooped Lea up and went downstairs.
When we got there, we saw Lissie and Raven there, looking around at a bunch of weird stuff!
“What is all this!?!?!?” Raven asked.
“Yeah, Mami! What’s going on?” Lissie asked.
In Lealani’s POV
I looked down, already bored with sitting still. “Hey, what’s this?” I wondered.
“This girl looks like me!” I was shocked.
“Yes,” Hope smiled. “That’s Taryn. She’s a famous doll from DWOD, and she’s pretty adventurous. You’re middle name, Atarah, is kinda similar to Taryn, and that’s why I named you that.” “You mean I was named after her!?!?” “Yep!” WAHOO!!
I jumped up and started cartwheeling around the room, until Hope told Bethany to make me sit down.
After I sat down, Hope started talking again.
She took the card from Madi and put it on her bed.
“So, do you all remember us talking about new foster doll?” Hope asked. “Yes..” everyone nodded. Bethany whispered to me that we were supposed to be getting a new sister soon from the AG orphanage. “Well, she’s coming TODAY!”
“WAIT WHAT!?!?” Bethany screeched.
“REALLY????” Felicity squealed.
“That’s awesome!!!” Raven grinned. “So she’ll be sharing a room with me?” “Yes,” Hope nodded. “I hope you don’t mind.” “No, that’s amazing!”Raven smiled. “But she probably won’t have a lot of things, since she’s an orphan, so we need to share-“.
In unison, Bethany and I jumped up and started doing a happy dance. “SQEEEEE”
Bethany started doing a cartwheel when the doorbell rang.
“OOPH!” She fell flat on her face. “I’m ok…”
“I’ll get it!” Raven squealed. “No, I will!” Felicity countered. Then they started arguing, and Hope tried to stop them.
“Well, I guess I’ll go get the door, then” I murmured to myself.
I slid the door open. a girl was standing there with at TON of stuff. “Um… are you sure you have the right address? You don’t look like a foster doll to me.” I stated bluntly. “This is the Merriman house, right?” The girl smiled down at me.
“Yeah! So you are the new girl?” I asked curiously. “Yes, I am. I’m Chrissa.”
“Ok, then! I’m Lealani! I am strong, and I can help you carry your stuff!” I started trying to pick up a box.
Just then, Felicity and Raven walked up, still arguing. “But you opened the door last!” “But that was just the package guy!” “That’s not-” They both stopped abruptly when they saw Chrissa. “HI!” They said in unison.
Then Bethany rushed up. “Hi HI HI HIIIIII!!!!” She squealed.
“Um, could we all help carry Chrissa’s stuff?” I suggested. “Okay!” With that, everyone started picking up boxes and taking them to Chrissa and Raven’s room.
When Chrissa stepped into her room, she started to cry! “What’s wrong!?!?” Don’t you like it!?!?” I worried. “Yes! I love it so much! You guys are the best!
everybody dropped their stuff and went to sit down and talk to her, so I decided I would do her a favor and unpack for her.
I unpacked a ton of clothes,
Then I saw something strange it was a postcard stuck in her slipper!
I sat down to read it. It said, “Heyyy Chrissy! I miss ya. I’m tracking down you-know-who. Keep yourself together!”Then, the person had signed it, but I couldn’t read the handwriting. It was really strange. Oh well, I thought to myself. It’s probably nothing. I should put it back. And so I did.
“Whew!” I was tired after unpacking everything.
“Lealani!” Chrissa gasped. “You unpacked everything!?!? How sweet of you!” I just grinned. “Come on, everyone! Let’s help Chrissa put everything away!” Raven suggested. “Ok!” Everyone agreed. Soon, it felt like Chrissa had been here forever.
